Welcome to Cogent Cogitations, and thank you for stopping by. I consider myself an eager and continuous learner in the area of leadership. In more than 20 years of professional working experience that spans four continents, I have learned how important leadership is to any enterprise. That learning continues to this day. I have experienced first-hand, the impact that bad leadership can have on teams of any size and at any level in the organization. I have also seen how good leaders motivate their teams to performance excellence.
I am passionate about learning, teaching and speaking about leadership concepts. I continue to marvel about the issues that I come across that seem to have simple leadership solutions to them. Of course, one has to embrace these basic leadership concepts for them to have any effect. It’s not just in what we know; it’s what we do with what we know.
Human behavior is one of the most difficult things to change. It takes effort and commitment for change to happen. For those who make this commitment however, the rewards can be gratifying. That’s why the best leaders that we have around are those who, despite their leadership skills and experiences, are committed to continuous learning and change.
As the Principal Consultant at Rehoboth Consulting Inc., my goal is to provide leadership information and resources for those who yearn for them. My intent is to help others as they seek to further develop their leadership and motivational skills. As I do this, I also expect to learn and glean from the collective wisdom of others as I receive feedback on my monthly posts on these pages.
